VideoBuff is a browser-based video editing tool. It is free, requires no account, and all processing happens entirely in your browser.
Your video, audio, image files and project data are stored in browser localStorage / OPFS and stay on your device. They are never sent to any server.
We use Google Analytics 4 for usage analytics. Page views, clicks, and similar usage signals are sent via cookies to Google (USA). No personally identifiable information is included.
Only when you connect via MCP from Claude Desktop or similar clients, anonymous usage stats (tool names, success/error, version, OS family) are sent for improvement. To understand usage trends, a single anonymous UUID is stored on your device and attached as an identifier (no personally identifiable information). File contents and project data are never included. You can toggle this off anytime from Settings (the gear icon at the top right of the editor).
The Service is provided "as is." The operator assumes no liability for data loss or technical issues. Clearing browser data may result in loss of projects. Please export and back up important work separately.
Reverse engineering, illegal use, and creation of content that infringes on third-party rights are prohibited.
VideoBuff is built on top of many open-source libraries. Per-package license terms, copyright notices, and full license texts are listed on the Open-Source Licenses page.
