# v1.10.0 — Seek while playing, clearer preview boundaries, and a snappier feel overall

_Released: 2026-07-06_

> Clicking anywhere on the timeline while playback is running now moves the playhead there, instead of appearing to do nothing. In the preview, content that overflows the export frame after scaling a clip up is now hidden entirely instead of showing faintly outside the frame — selection handles still extend past the frame edge, so repositioning stays just as easy. Timeline track sizing is smoother when resizing the panel, and empty-track auto-removal now covers video/audio tracks as well as text/image. We also fixed an issue where playback could freeze or jump back to the start of that same clip instead of advancing to the next one. We've also cut stutter in several places — dragging clips during playback, zooming, resizing panels, and how quickly thumbnails and waveforms appear after reloading the page.

## Changes

- **New**: You can now click anywhere on the timeline to seek there even while playback is running
- **Improved**: Content that overflows the export frame after scaling a clip up is now hidden instead of shown faintly — selection handles still extend past the frame so repositioning stays easy. When a clip is scaled down, the export frame boundary is now clearly visible against a gray background
- **New**: Resizing the timeline panel taller now scales track height proportionally, making thumbnails and waveforms easier to see
- **Improved**: Empty-track auto-removal now also applies to video and audio tracks
- **Fixed**: Fixed playback sometimes freezing or jumping back to the start of that same clip instead of advancing to the next one
- **Improved**: Reduced UI stutter during timeline operations (playback, dragging/trimming clips, zooming, resizing the panel)
- **Improved**: Significantly reduced the wait for timeline thumbnails and waveforms to appear after reloading the page
